Frequently Asked Questions

1. What types of classes do you offer?

At Flex Yoga Buffalo, we offer a variety of classes designed to support different experience levels, movement styles, and intentions.

  • Foundations of Vinyasa: A slower-paced, unheated class focused on foundational postures, alignment, and building confidence.
  • Heated Vinyasa: An energizing, breath-led flow practiced in a heated room to build strength, flexibility, and endurance.
  • Hot Power Fusion: Our signature blend of Power Vinyasa and Hot Yoga, with an emphasis on strength, balance, and mindful movement.
  • Ashta Power Fusion: A high-intensity, heated practice that combines the structure of Ashtanga with modern power and sculpt elements.
  • Yoga Sculpt: A full-body workout combining yoga, strength training, and cardio, set to energizing music.
  • Barre Sculpt: A heated, low-impact, high-intensity class focused on the glutes, core, posture, and muscular endurance.
  • Mat Power Sculpt: A Pilates-inspired, mat-based strength class focused on core stability, control, and endurance.
  • Yin: A slow, meditative practice featuring longer-held postures to support flexibility, mobility, and relaxation.
  • Restorative: A gentle, fully supported practice designed to encourage deep rest, recovery, and a nervous system reset.

2. Are your classes beginner-friendly?

Yes! All of our classes are open to beginners, and our instructors offer guidance and modifications throughout class.

If you’re brand-new to yoga or looking for a gentler place to begin, we recommend:

  • Foundations of Vinyasa
  • Yin
  • Restorative

Our instructors are here to help you feel comfortable, confident, and supported throughout your practice.

3. Do I need to bring my own mat or equipment?

We provide blocks, straps, and towels for all classes. Mat rentals are available for $3, or you’re welcome to bring your own.

4. What should I wear to class?

Wear comfortable, breathable clothing that allows you to move freely. Most students practice yoga barefoot. Grip socks are optional and may be helpful during our sculpt and barre-style classes.

5. How do I sign up for a class?

You can reserve your spot through the Flex Yoga Buffalo app or our website.

Walk-ins are welcome when space allows, but we strongly recommend booking in advance, as many of our classes fill quickly.

6. What is your cancellation policy?

Please cancel at least 12 hours before class. This gives another student the opportunity to join and helps us keep our classes running smoothly.

  • Late cancellation: $10 fee plus the loss of the class credit
  • No-show: $15 fee plus the loss of the class credit

Cancellations must be made through the Flex Yoga Buffalo app or by contacting the studio. We cannot accept cancellation requests through social media.

7. How does the waitlist work?

Our waitlist helps ensure that as many students as possible have the opportunity to practice.

A few helpful things to know:

  • Unlimited members receive priority booking on the waitlist.
  • As cancellations occur, students are automatically moved into class.
  • You’ll receive a text notification if you’re added—there is no need to contact the instructor.
  • If you can no longer attend, please remove yourself from the waitlist as soon as possible.

8. Is parking available?

Yes. Free street parking and nearby lot parking are available. Please allow a little extra time to park and arrive during peak hours.

9. Do you offer private sessions?

Yes! Private sessions are fully customized around your experience level, goals, and schedule. Please email namaste@flexyogabuffalo.com to learn more or book a session.

10. Do you offer memberships and class packages?

Please note:

  • All purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Class packages may have expiration dates.
  • Memberships and packages are subject to the terms provided at purchase.

  • Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • We do not provide partial or prorated refunds.

Studio Guidelines

Arriving for Class

We love that you’re excited to be here! To keep transitions between classes calm and comfortable, our doors open 15 minutes before class begins.

This gives you time to:

  • Check in
  • Settle into the space
  • Gather and arrange your props
  • Transition mindfully into your practice

It also gives our team time to clean, reset, and prepare the studio between classes.

Check In and Say Hi

Please check in with your instructor at the front desk when you arrive. We know the studio can be busy, especially on weekends, but we truly value connection.

Flex is built on community. We love knowing your name, getting to know you, and helping you feel at home in our space.

Phone-Free Practice

We love seeing your post-class selfies, but once class begins, we invite you to disconnect.

This is your time to unplug, be fully present, and choose yourself. To protect that experience for everyone, we aim to keep the studio phone-free throughout class.

Stay for Savasana

We encourage you to stay for the entire class experience—especially Savasana.

This final rest allows your body to integrate the physical work, your nervous system to reset, and movement to become meditation. Leaving early may disrupt the experience for others, so we recommend choosing a class that allows you to remain until the very end.

If you unexpectedly need to leave early, please let your instructor know before class begins and exit as quietly as possible.

Customer Service and Account Support

For questions or concerns involving waitlists, cancellations, billing, memberships, or your account, please email our support team at namaste@flexyogabuffalo.com.

To ensure every request is properly reviewed and handled fairly and consistently, instructors are unable to resolve customer-service matters through Instagram DMs or at the front desk before or after class.

Our instructors are there to support your practice and hold space for class. Emailing our support team allows us to document your request and respond as quickly and thoroughly as possible.
