Frequently Asked Questions

1. What types of classes do you offer?

At Flex Yoga Buffalo, we offer a variety of classes designed to suit all levels and preferences:

INTRO TO VINYASA

A foundational Power Vinyasa-style class taught in an unheated room at a slower pace. This set sequence is perfect for beginners or anyone seeking structure and routine, with a focus on learning the core postures of yoga and building confidence on the mat.

HEATED VINYASA

A fast-paced, powerful Vinyasa class taught in a heated room to support deep stretching and detoxification. Explore advanced postures, move with intensity, and sweat with purpose in this energizing flow.

HOT POWER FUSION

A fusion of Power Vinyasa and Hot Yoga, combining strength and balance with breath-led movement. This set sequence promotes stability and grounding while guiding you through a steady, rhythmic flow in a heated room.

ASHTA POWER FUSION

A heated, high-intensity Vinyasa practice rooted in the structure of Ashtanga yoga and infused with modern sculpt elements. Designed for students seeking physical challenge, mental focus, and energetic depth, this class blends athleticism and intention — where repetition becomes transformation.

HEATED YOGA SCULPT

A dynamic, full-body workout that blends strength training with traditional yoga. Set to energizing music, Yoga Sculpt targets every major muscle group, combining cardio, resistance, and flow. Expect to build strength, improve flexibility, and leave class feeling empowered — mentally and physically.

BARRE SCULPT

A heated, high-energy sculpt class that fuses the precision of barre with the intensity of strength training. Expect pulsing holds, deep core engagement, and low-impact cardio bursts set to upbeat music. With a focus on posture, glutes, and control, this class will challenge and energize — no dance background needed.

MAT POWER SCULPT

A heated, Pilates-inspired strength class focused on core power, endurance, and full-body stability. Using controlled movements and breath, this mat-based workout sculpts and tones from the inside out — all to an energizing playlist that keeps you moving with intention.

VINYASA + YIN

A balanced blend of movement and stillness. This class begins with a dynamic Power Vinyasa flow to build heat, then shifts into a calming Yin sequence to stretch deep into the connective tissue. Leave class feeling strong, open, and grounded.

YIN

A slow, meditative practice that targets deep connective tissues through long-held, passive poses. This class enhances flexibility, circulation, and energetic flow, inviting a calm, introspective experience. Ideal for all levels.

RESTORATIVE

A gentle, fully supported practice designed to promote deep rest and recovery. Using props to eliminate effort, this class helps the body enter a parasympathetic state, encouraging physical healing and emotional release. No experience needed.

HATHA

A grounding, breath-led practice that focuses on alignment, mindful movement, and intentional stillness. Move through a slower-paced sequence of foundational postures while cultivating strength, flexibility, and inner calm. A great option for beginners and experienced yogis alike.

PRENATAL YOGA

A nurturing class designed to support your pregnancy journey. Move through gentle sequences that ease common discomforts, strengthen the body, and create space for breath and baby. Each class includes mindful movement, breathwork, and connection — to self, baby, and community.

2. Do I need to bring my own mat and equipment?

We provide props such as blocks, straps, and towels for use in class. If you don’t have your own mat, we offer rentals for $3. However, you're welcome to bring your own mat and props if you prefer.

Wear comfortable, breathable clothing that allows for full range of motion. Most students practice barefoot, but socks are optional.
